We live in a very special area. I grew up loving Wilmington, and
have seen it become an incredibly desirable place to live. I’ve also
been fortunate to have been a part of that growth.
Because I am
passionate about the natural beauty, rich tradition, great people
and economic potential of our home, I have spent the last dozen
years working on ways to make it even better.
Although I’ve never
held elected office, I have been a part of job creation and the
careful development of our region through work in the public,
private and non-profit sectors and it has given me a unique
perspective.
I firmly believe that the potential of our area is
almost limitless. We have only begun to explore how great we can be.
Our geography, existing talent and untapped
potential of our citizenry should be a powerful draw for employers.
Our natural environment and amazingly diverse arts community should
make Wilmington the premiere tourist destination of the coastal
Carolinas. And these things together, with a high-performing school
system, should make it the best place to raise a family.
Now is the time to make it come together, and make
it happen!
